Donations

Bridgeport will accept donations of PC systems, monitors, keyboards and mice from individuals, businesses and companies for use in the MAR programme. Bridgeport will check the specifications and condition of any donations and will refurbish such equipment.

Any system which is presentable and in good working order will be loaded with a suitable operating system and Office 2003 if applicable. The cost of this process will be R450 irrespective of the specification of the system and this will be recovered from the end recipient.

If repairs need to be carried out or components replaced, and it is considered cost effective to do so, Bridgeport will carry out these repairs and the cost will be passed on to the recipients. A full report on these processes together with details of the recipients of the donations will be made available to donors on request.
