Company History

Bridgeport Technical Services is a respected and established leader in the supply of quality affordable used computer equipment throughout southern Africa.

The company was incorporated in 2000 to enable our schools to equip themselves with cost-effective computer technology. Since consolidating our enterprise in Cape Town in 2002, we have worked extensively with charitable organisations like the Digital Partnership South Africa. Together, we have enabled previously disadvantaged communities to become IT literate by refurbishing donated equipment and installing software in collaboration with Microsoft.

Bridgeport is proud of being the first company in Africa to be granted Microsoft Authorised Refurbisher status.

Since 2003, the company has diversified by sourcing and importing large quantities of computer equipment and hardware components from Europe, North America, Australia and the Far East. This has enabled us to offer a wide range of businesses, schools and the general public the opportunity to own quality brand-name computers, whilst continuing our mission to support disadvantaged communities at no, or very low, cost.


Our company has grown tremendously and expansion will enable us to offer further career opportunities to suitably qualified and enthusiastic individuals in the near future.
